David Calbert’s “Cactus Jack” first appeared in Issue #34 of Berkeley Fiction Review
David Calbert is an aspiring writer slowly making his way down to southern California with the hopes of one day making horror movies. He has received a BA in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence and is enrolled in the UCLA screenwriting MFA. He used to live in a very old house where he spent his days arduously filling it with imaginary monsters.
