Katherine Vondy is an LA-based writer and filmmaker. Her award-winning short film, The Broken Heart of Gnocchi Bolognese, has played at festivals worldwide and is distributed by Shorts International and PlayFestivalFilms. The recipient of writing residencies from Wildacres, Starry Night and the Vermont Studio Center, her work has appeared recently or is forthcoming in the Beloit Fiction Journal, Briar Cliff Review, Chicago Quarterly Review, Corium Magazine, Menacing Hedge, and Spilt Infinitive. Katherine was one of six writers selected to participate in collaborative arts project Flying House 2013, and she regularly updates The Walking Deadpan, her blog of comedic mini-essays.
